This policy explains what personal information Lativion Pharmacy collects through this website and WhatsApp ordering, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
Information we collect
- Order details: your name, phone number, delivery location, optional email address, order notes and the products you choose.
- Prescription requests: your name, phone number, preferred contact method, optional notes and the prescription file you upload.
- Refill requests: your name, phone number, the medicines you ask us to refill and your delivery or collection preference.
- Website usage: if analytics is enabled, anonymous usage information such as pages viewed and searches. We do not send names, phone numbers, prescriptions or other health details to analytics providers.
How we use your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health information for marketing.
- To process and confirm your order, prescription or refill request.
- To contact you about your request using your preferred contact method.
- To arrange delivery or collection.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations as a pharmacy, including record-keeping for dispensed prescription medicines.
When you choose “Continue to WhatsApp”, your order details are placed into a WhatsApp message on your own device. The message is only sent when you press send. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
Prescriptions
Prescription files are stored privately and are accessible only to authorised pharmacy staff. They are never published on this website. We keep prescription records only as long as needed to process your request and to meet our legal obligations.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to stored requests and validation of all uploads. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its processing, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations. Contact us on WhatsApp or visit the pharmacy to make a request.
Cookies and local storage
Your order basket is saved in your browser's local storage on your device so it is not lost when you navigate. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies to measure anonymous usage.
